From Warhol to Whiteread

At a Private Collection

Whitechapel Director Iwona Blazwick offers an indispensable guide to art from the 1960s to the present. Beginning with Pop Art the session moves through Minimalism, Conceptual Art, Performance Art to Arte Povera, Land Art, Postmodernism and Young British Artists.

Panel discussion and drinks reception with some of the most respected
collectors in the world. Speakers include Stuart Evans, Judith Greer(tbc), Jack Kirkland and Keir McGuinness. Drinks reception included.

Meet the Makers
Saturday 7 June, 10.30am – 5.30pm

A unique chance to visit the studios of some of today’s most exciting contemporary artists including Oliver Clegg, Sarah Douglas, Michele Fletcher, Donna Huddlestone, Alastair Mackie and Jeremy Willet. Over lunch at the Whitechapel, Annelien Bruins talks about some of the practical considerations to owning works of art.

Following an exclusive breakfast viewing and curator-led tour at the Whitechapel, this special guided tour offers the chance to meet the directors of some of the leading commercial galleries in London. The galleries tour includes Seventeen, Kate MacGarry, Maureen Paley,
Vilma Gold, Victoria Miro
and White Cube. Lunch at Bistrotheque included.


Post-War and Contemporary Sales
Thursday 26 June, 6.30 – 8.30pm

A leading expert from Christies, one of the world’s most prestigious auction Houses, will offer an introduction to buying works of art at auction and a personal tour of the current sales. Drinks reception included.
