The third year of Creative Connections paired 4 artists, Grace Adam, Raksha Patel, Mary Evans and Sarah Carne with teachers from 4 Secondary Schools; Dawn Johnson from Bethnal Green Technology College, Philip Diggle from Highbury Grove School, Fioni Cooper from Hackney Free and Parochial School and Victoria Mc Laughlan from Eastlea Community School. The group took part in training sessions at the Whitechapel led by Nicolas Addison and Lesley Burgess, tutors from the Institute Of Education, London. These sessions helped teachers and artists devise innovative projects based on the exhibitions, Paul Noble, Tobias Rehberger and Faces in the Crowd.

During the final term each artist was commissioned by the gallery to produce an art work for their respective schools in response to their experiences during the year. The project culminated in A Year in the Life... a week long exhiition of the artwork produced by students and artists working on the project.
